A. Ganesh Aadhithya

I am Ganesh Aadhithya from Chennai studying in the school of Computing and Data Science. My field of interest is in Data analysis as it really excites me and I am also keen in programming and coding. I am a very reserved person who likes to observe things more. I am interested in anything which makes me curious and excited, but to name a few I would say sports, wildlife and nature. I am greatly interested in Ethology, but I don’t really see that as a career option, rather just interested in exploring it. I am also interested a tiny bit in history. My hobbies include reading books, listening to music, travelling etc. This Global Challenges course excites me a lot because it explores the current issues and problems happening around the world which are necessary to know about.

I am grateful to have experienced quality education and international exposure right from my early years. My academic aspiration is to ace GMAT after my under graduation in B.Tech Computer Science and to do an MBA in a reputed top tier University in USA. I am Aadhithya Raj from the School of Arts and Sciences, pursuing Economics at Sai University. My interest in the field of economics was first awakened while I was in high school. Apart from Economics I play multiple sports and have always had a curiosity about learning a new sport, an avid follower of politics. My name is Aakarsha Korada.I am from the School of Computing and Data sciences, Sai University. I have completed my primary schooling at Mayoor Private School, Abu Dhabi, and secondary schooling at St.Joseph’s School, Abu Dhabi. I describe myself as a candid, transparent, and open-minded individual. Even though I enjoy direct, straightforward communication with others, I make sure to blend diplomacy into my speech to avoid offending anyone. As a result of my passion to protect the environment, I was selected and nominated as an Ambassador for sustainable development at the Y4S sustainability program organized by Masdar city, UAE. Participated in MUN organized by Mount Abu Democratic Virtual Model United Nations and secured Special mention. Active participant in inter-school competitions in athletics, tennis, volleyball, swimming, etc., and won decent accolades. Participated in cultural events organized by various intra and inter-school organizations. Abhishek Vijay

Hello there, I am Iyangar Abhishek Vijay from the school of CDS. I have been actively engaging in community service in my city for the past 3 years, and have helped several children with a Gandhian institute called “Shanti Ashram” under their “youth leadership program”. I have also participated actively in IIMUN and have presented a good hold of world politics and governing laws. When it comes to sports, I have been the team captain at my school sports events for three years continuously. At the same time, I am also a very goal-oriented person and often can plan my goals such that they are ambitious and attainable at the same time. I have also performed several theatre acts within my school and outside, which has taught me to perform and express myself in various characters I perform. I have also done a dance performance in school, which helped me learn synchrony and teamwork.

Anuj Kumar

I am Anuj Kumar from the School of Arts and Sciences at Sai University. I was born and brought up in a nuclear family in one of the most marginalized communities of Bihar where education is still a rare story. I was fortunate enough to be rescued by an NGO named Shoshit Samadhan Kendra which was meant for students coming from the most marginalized community, unlike mine. After being driven and realizing the importance of education, I committed that whatever I have been through, I won't let other kids in my community go through it. With this strong belief and commitment, I along with my friend founded one foundation ''ApniShikshaFoundation" which aims to usher in education at the grassroots level free of cost. History is a subject that attracts me just like a flower filled with nectar attracts bees. I aspire to be a civil servant therefore I have decided to go for a cluster major in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics along with International Relations as a Minor at Sai University so that it can help me in building my foundation. Playing Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, and reading books are a few of the hobbies towards which I am inclined. I never want to miss any opportunity which comes my way unless and until it hinders my education.

My name is Anya Raja and I am a freshman at Sai University from the School of Arts and Sciences. I’d describe myself as being analytical, scientific, and detail-oriented. These traits are coupled with fierce passion, love, and tenacity toward pursuing anything that I do. I am Aswath A Prakash, a freshman at SaiU’s School of Law. I believe that there is always something to develop about myself and there is always something to learn. I learn a wide variety of skills from reading books and websites such as Udemy. The aspects I wish to improve about myself right now are my memory, confidence, and the way I complete my work. I also don't have a lot of general knowledge and I wish to work on improving that. I often try to identify my flaws and take that one extra step towards perfection. I also try to be perfect in the sense that I organize my living and work spaces based on priorities and to make it easier for me to work. Other things I love include singing, traveling to hilly regions, and playing a variety of sports. I also enjoy cooking, although I do not have much past experience in that sphere. I also look up to my parents and I learnt a lot of lessons in life from them.

Athithiya .N

My name is Athithiya .N and my hometown is Tirunelveli in India but I grew up in Chennai. I always had an immense interest in the STEM subjects from my childhood. As I found more interesting topics in nuclear and astrophysics, my interest kept on growing towards STEM (especially physics). My interest towards computer science grew when I took Cambridge A level. During A level I got interested in programming (python) and with my friends, we were able to manipulate the programs and come up with some new solutions and when more problems arose to be solved, it made it interesting. When I turned 15, I had an opportunity to visit the Atomic research centre where I visited numerous departments and physics that has a lot of fascinating unsolved problems and exploring the depths of the ever intriguing cosmos gets me excited.

I love to spend my free time listening to music or podcasts sometimes. Specifically, I like to play a few sports such as football, cricket, and Badminton but just for fun and not professionally else Yoga or meditation is what I like. I am Shalini from the school of arts and science. As a student, I actively took part in recitation, singing, and dance competitions along with focusing on my academics. I got the privilege to perform at the event called Dance For Divine held at the Thillai Natarajar Temple in Chidambaram in 2018 and was honored with the title 'Thillayin Natya Manigal’. I practiced Karate till my 7th grade and Bharatanatyam till my 9th grade. Besides, I like singing and took to it right from my fourth class. With the help of my vocal teacher in school, I participated in a lot of programs held at the school level and won various inter-house and inter-school singing competitions. With the dynamic shift from middle school to high school, I experienced and witnessed numerous instances of mishandled mental issues. This developed in me a keen interest to bring impact in the mental health space and venture deeper into the subject. I joined Delhi Public School, Nacharam (Hyderabad) for my Class 11 & 12th with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects along with Psychology. I chose Psychology because it piqued my interest and has continued to do so till date. Having done most of my +2 online, I have noticed that the work/study from home has taken a toll on people's mental health, and my aspiration to address the issue of the stigma around mental illnesses partly stemmed from this experience.

I am Dushyant from the school of Computing and Data Science. I am from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. I like keeping up with current affairs, particularly issues pertaining to geopolitics. I also love testing my memory and logical thinking skills through brainteasers and strategy games such as chess. My primary area of interest is mathematics, especially number theory and geometry. The fact that such abstract concepts can be used to solve real-world problems never ceases to amaze me and as a result, I am interested in cryptography, which extensively uses number theory. The prediction of sports outcomes based on data science models is another passion of mine. At Sai University I hope to expand my horizons and learn to look at problems from a broader perspective.

I Completed my schooling in Vani Vidyalaya, a CBSE school located in Chennai, India. my selected subjects in high school were physics, biology, chemistry, maths, and English… I plan to do my major in computer science with a specialization in artificial intelligence/ cyber security. I want to look the field of biology from a technology point of view. I am also interested in researching on to what extend does AI have influence on medicine? And to what extend AI performs and makes decision better decision than doctors? These are few of the research topics I would like do research on. I'm interested in sports, cooking, and both western and classical dance. Learning Kuchipudi dance for 14 years and have given several stage shows across Telangana and Andhra states. I even participated in nationals for the sport throwball thrice. I have good academic excellence to date and have the aspiration to become an entrepreneur in the technical sector. I would like to learn skills in the technical sector which helps me to aspire my dreams.

My name is M.Tanishta varman and I am a first-year CDS student at Sai U . I love to read, travel or listen to songs of different languages. I have a great amount of interest in silambam, I have always liked to know how and why a person thinks a certain way . This interest of mine from a very young age is the reason why I am interested in psychology and crime stories. Having a love for books started very early for me and to date, it has never reduced, reading any genre drama, thriller, law-related or crime and detective stories, they all have always left me amazed.

One thing that everyone should know about me is that I love animals which is why I started an animal care service where I provided dog walking and fostering services. I am also very interested in research and conducted secondary research on animal rights from the discipline of Philosophy. I was also a co-researcher in the Critical Participatory Action Research team from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Hi guys my name is Mehan from the school of computing and data science. I come from a rural region in Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu. I do not have a consistent hobby, but I do have an interest in trying out new activities and getting to read and know more interesting facts. I find myself more interested in the field of technology and I decided to explore more of the field by keeping it as a carrier. My name is Nandita and I’m from the School of Arts and Sciences. On an academic level my interests include biology, psychology and philosophy. I would however be open to other classes as well as I find myself to be quite flexible when picking interests. On a more recreational level I enjoy playing instrumental theme songs from shows I watch on the ukulele (the songs are usually from anime because I find anime theme songs fun to learn), making small figurines out of air dry clay and also participating in sports. In this university I intend to major in biology and plan on picking up minors in fields of interest along the way.

I’m Nivedhitha and I am part of the School of Arts and Sciences at Sai University. One of my foremost and special interests is writing poetry and experimenting with different forms of writing. I’m interested in studying the intricacies of the English language and I would like to learn many more languages. I enjoy reading different genres of books as well. Apart from literature and languages, I’m keen on organic farming. Additionally, I’m also deeply concerned about the tragic realities of global health disparities. Talking about my interests and hobbies, from a very young age, I have developed an exceptional passion for a variety of topics like art, archaeology, technology, palaeography, sociology, psychology, poetry, forensics, game sciences, entrepreneurship, photography, philosophy, spirituality, etc. Now that I'm pursuing a B.Tech, it represents my concrete inquisitiveness and the steady manifestation of my fervour for computing and design over the years. My aspiration is to achieve high knowledge in data science and business analysis which would be useful for future research projects and thesis .In the past 4 years I have worked on NASA's space settlement project, and qualified for the NASA space settlement contest which was conducted by the NSS (National Space Society) 2018-19.We all know that the future is all about web 3.0 and industry 4.0, so I am passionate about the topic of meta verse with the combination of artificial intelligence .This would play a major role in future.This technology will make people experience any part of the world without moving from their own place, this would give a great opportunity to Aged, Blind, and Disabled (ABD) people to experience the things which they cant do it in their entire life. Hence I would like to study regarding web 3.0 and I intent to do research projects related to artificial intelligence in meta verse for an social cause and revolutionary change in industry.

I am S.Taanya Kamakshi, a student of the school of Arts and Sciences.I am currently eighteen years old and my family consists of me and my parents. I wish to pursue a major in Biotech, and so, I have opted for cell biology as my elective. I love Indian Classical music (Carnatic) and reading non-fiction books. I did my early schooling in Amrita Vidyalayam, Chennai from kindergarten to the seventh grade, then did further schooling from Mahindra world School, Chengalpattu. I have always been interested in Biology and biotech in particular, as the application of biotech was so diverse and could be employed in different fields ranging from medicine to agriculture. A distinctive part of me is that I am an extrovert and more of a social person and enjoy being around with people and volunteering for social causes. I am very hardworking and responsible as well. With my strong passion to sing I am a trained Carnatic Singer as well and have performed in various temple functions as part of the Navrathri festival we celebrate In India. I have been an active participant in my school sports days, I have won many medals in the track and field events and have also participated in my school inter-house basketball and badminton matches. I have been a part of various Club activities at School like Radio Club, Publishing Club and Art activities. Apart from being actively involved in school extracurriculars some of my hobbies include reading, sports, dancing and yoga. I'm a 17 year old CDS student aspiring to major in robotics or AI and excel in arts. I love athletics, music, playing the veena, drawing, watching animes and american sitcoms. I draw kpop idol portraits traditionally and create anime/chibi characters digitally. I'm working forward to getting into animation which also one of the few reasons I'm studying Japanese professionally; hoping I could have animations in the sidelines beginning with writing mangas (japanese comics). Since Robotics and AI has also a major role in my areas of interests, one of my major ambition is to incorporate arts to robotics or AI and build a career out of it. I strongly believe I can work it out as I am open to other options and flexible in what I want.

I am Sri Tanya from School of computing and Data science.. In Mathematics “nothing is hypothetical and every problem has a solution”, this is one of the reason where I developed a liking towards Maths and started solving complex maths problems. In my 10th grade I started to learn about coding and got a taste of the real essence of computer’s with DBMS. Slowly I understood the importance of DATA and its Immense uses in analyzing data in different perspectives. In my XIth and XIIth grade .I learned Python language and as part of our class 12th school project, we developed Morse code. Python was used in both front end and back end to develop Morse code. Morse code is used to communicate over wire text characters as dots and dashes or vice versa to avoid data leaking and maintain secrecy. I aspire to use technology for effective handling of large data. I wish to participate in many hackathons, quiz competitions and participate in google summer code internship.

Vidhyakshaya Kannan

I’m Vidhyakshaya Kannan, a freshman at Sai University’s School of Computing and Data Science. I think life is all about the little things - listening to music with the window wide open late at night, or going on a really long drive with no destination in particular, or being super absorbed in my math problems that I haven't realized that it's been three hours since I’ve started, taking that first sip of filter coffee early in the morning and feeling the caffeine kick in, or sitting by my bedroom window thinking of all the places life is going to take me - it's honestly just the little things, along with a frightening ambition and passion for what I do that keep me going. I myself am a “little thing”, shorter than the average Indian woman by a few inches. Although I was inclined towards the sciences, the arts have always been a highly significant part of my life. I read a multitude of books, from a wide range of genres, and I write a lot myself, to make it through the days that seem unconquerable. I do believe that life is an endless pursuit of knowledge. Sometimes the thought that I could learn, and learn and learn, and still wouldn't know all that there is to know, is highly overwhelming. Instilled in me is a deep passion for technology and an aggressive drive to contribute to the technological advancement of the planet. I wish to eventually pursue research in Computer Science, in the hope that my work will help push the boundaries of human knowledge just a little bit further.

My key strength is self confidence and communication which helped me when I changed from state board to CBSE curriculum.I was in state board until grade7 after that I shifted myself to CBSE curriculum in Velammal Vidhyashram. During my middle school I was able to participate in different types of extra curricular activities like Silambam, Karate, Badminton, etc. which helped me to participate in open inter school, intra school, zonal and national level competitions. Currently I am working at the Intersection of Computer Science, Cognitive Neurosciences and Quantum Computing. Business Systems, Brain-Computer Interface, Quantum Computing and Climate Technologies are my major research areas. As a Founder of STEEMAS (Social Edtech Start-up), INSPIRINZA (Social Sustainable Start-up) and Young Researcher at the New York Academy of Sciences and TKS Canada, I am advocating the Need for STEM Education to be available for Everyone throughout the Globe. As a Quantum Computing and Cognitive Neuroscience researcher, I am amazed to think how infinite possibilities of permutations and combinations could lead to creating a technology that could teleport a living organism and adapt the human mind ability to think and discover, and wants to explore more at the intersection of these through Global Challenges Course at Sai University.

I am from Chennai. I am from the School of Arts and science. I aspire to be a detective who decodes nature by employing theoretical physics and math. Apart from it, I am passionate about neuroscience, philosophy, and history. I also pursue the art of photography for it freezes moments in time. I strike a balance between capturing the moment with my camera lens and living the moment with my eye lens. I marvel at the power of engineering but I find myself attracted to the theoretical side. Feeding my curious brain, engaging with my non-conformist thoughts( i.e questioning what others believe blindly/ pondering over fundamental questions) Free thinking, waxing and waning various scientific ideas and philosophies, reading books, doing sports (and sometimes binge-watching a TV series/documentary) are my hobbies. I value profound and meaningful conversations rather than small talks. The pinnacle of education is as I believe is to shape one's mind in a way that benefits thyself and society. Rich exposure to discrete disciplines will make the youth better thinkers and therefore responsible decision makers. I am Yashwanth from the school of computing and data science at Sai University. I am from Chennai, India. I am deeply interested in Ai, programming, psychology, video editing and sports. I am also a person who wants to experience everything and have an open mind. At some point in life I want to experience van life or become a trained diver and live my life nomadically. There are countless things to explore and I want to experience it all. I am also someone who is deeply interested in mental health and looking at the condition of people struggling and those who are in need of help but not being able to acquire that help is deeply concerning and I want to make a change in any way to make this situation better.
